It’s been a busy week here at TSM. A happy day was spent over in neighbouring Melton Mowbray exploring the ins and outs of the Quirk report recommendations and asset transfer. In the meantime we have been continuing our work with community voice through readily available free stuff.
Visit Sneinton Festival’s new blog celebrating the 2007 event with a 13min online video. The blog will progress throughout the year and act as an information dissemination site and as a cost effective focal point for the 2008 festival.
http://sneintonfestival.wordpress.com/ The blog is entirely managed by the Festival organisers.
Also visit http://advisorsandleaders.wordpress.com/ – a multi editor blog exploring ideas and resources supporting social enterprises and advisors in the East Midlands.
A final blog mini victory was had last week when the readership of http://uptherise.wordpress.com spiked at 2900% (yes you did read that correctly!) We wrote a pair of articles highlighting a local litter and shoefitti spot based around the concept of Urban Pixies. The visitor reaction was instant and positive. Careful tagging of blog items coupled with a little quirk seems to increase both readership and interaction. The episode certainly gave us food for thought.
